Vero Labs, Inc. wants the Vero app and marketing site to be usable by as wide an
audience as possible, including people with visual, motor, auditory, or cognitive
disabilities. This statement explains the conformance target we’re working
towards, what we’ve built so far, and where we still fall short.
Conformance target
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA across both the marketing site and the mobile app.
Some features — particularly chart-driven gameplay — rely on visual pattern
recognition that is inherently hard to convey non-visually; for those areas we provide
the best non-visual experience we can while being honest that the core game loop is
visual.
What we’ve built
- Light and dark themes with a System option that follows your OS
preference.
- VoiceOver and TalkBack labels on primary navigation, buttons, and
score readouts.
- Adjustable timer in game defaults (10s / 30s / 60s / None) for
users who need more time per round.
- Haptic feedback that can be toggled off for users who find it
distracting or who use accessibility shortcuts that rely on the same gestures.
- Sound effects that can be toggled off; no critical information is
conveyed by audio alone.
- Color choices that aim for AA contrast against text and
UI controls; we use shape and label, not color alone, to communicate
up-vs-down outcomes.
- Keyboard navigation on the marketing site for all interactive
elements.
Known limitations
- The candlestick chart in the gameplay screen is not currently exposed to screen
readers as a structured data series. We’re scoping a sonification or
described-summary alternative.
- The drawing tools used in trainer mode are pointer-driven and do not yet have a
keyboard equivalent.
- Some animations on the marketing site do not honor the
prefers-reduced-motion media query. We’re tracking this.
